Don't Get Me Wrong

Personal development comes in many forms.

We can read motivational books; reach out to supportive groups; go to inspirational seminars…

We have a multitude of mediums that can help us in our journey, however that looks for us.

In all that we are creating for ourselves, we may get taken back when we experience challenges that take us to a place we thought we wouldn’t be.

“How could this have happened to me?”

We may feel that if we are so centered and aware, in our spiritual growth, shouldn’t it be that we will now, and going forward, encounter only situations that are smooth sailing?

Isn’t following a path of enlightenment and devoutness an investment in our well being, so we can finally be in a space of contentment?

We can get frustrated when we put so much energy in taking steps to grow, but finding ourselves in areas of struggle along the way.

However, once we realize that our biggest lessons in personal development cannot be read in a book, or written in notes from a seminar- instead, ultimately through our firsthand experiences; we can start believing and embracing that we are just where we need to be, with whom, and for the precise reasons, to move forward.

Remember that no matter where you are, remembering who you are is all the knowledge you need.
